Nine-Man Registry Team Attends ANUPA Lecture

A nine-man team from the University Registry was sponsored by the management to attend the first Guest Public Lecture of the Association of Nigeria University Professional Administrators(ANUPA), which was held at the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta on Wednesday, 13th May, 2009.

The occasion was chaired by the Vice-Chancellor  of UNAA, Prof. Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun, with Mr. Oluwatoyin Gladstone Oshun, Registrar, Lagos State Universityas the Guest Lecturer who delivered the lecture entitled "The Professional University Administrator as anAgent of Change and Development."The lecture lecture was attended by registry staffs of at least fifteen universities from the south-wes, region of the country.

According to the Director of Exams & Records Dr.(Mrs) Ope Okunola who led the university participants to the programme , ".....the lecture focused on the rudimentaries and fundamentals of university administration as a profession. The lecturer stressed the fact that the stabilit, development and progress of a university depend in part , on the level of competence, quality contributionsand commitment of its professional university.

 
Update on Libraries

This is to inform students and members of staff in the Faculty of Law that the ongoing shelving of books and internal constructions will be completed this week. Thus, the Law Library will be open for use from Monday 1st June 2009.

However, the Main library is still undergoing an audit process which may last till the end of june, 2009.

Meanwhile, Mr Albert adetunji is to act in place of erstwhile Deputy Librarian Mrs Adeola Geirge is currently been queried for unethical relationship with student, bordering on mismanagement of intellectual.

LCU Applications forms can be procured with a non-refundable fee of Ten thousand naira (N10,000) only payable to Lead City University, Ibadan by E-Tranzact at Zenith Bank Plc.

Completed application forms should be returned to the Admissions Officer, Lead City University, P.O Box 1267, Dugbe Ibadan.

 

NOTE: Proof of Payment is the Receipt obtained from E-Tranzact.

 

Lead City University, Ibadan is a private University approved by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

 

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the following senate approved Full-time/Part-time, Pre-degree, Diploma, Degree and Management Development Programmes of Lead City University. The University gives FREE Textbooks to students who complete their fees on resumption.

 

General Requirements

The minimum entry requirement for admission into Lead City University is GCE 0/L, SSC/ NABTEB/ NECO or equivalent credit level pass in five (5) subjects, including English Language, obtained at not more than two sittings. Those with additional (Direct Entry) qualification such as NCE, IJMB, OND, GCE 'A' Level etc are to proceed from part II. However, candidates awaiting result may apply for the Pre-degree/Access Programme.

 

Lead City University, Ibadan conducts aptitude test and interview as part of the screening exercise for all candidates seeking for admission into the University and applicants may not be admitted without fulfilling the requirements of the screening exercise. Applicants are to obtain both JAMB and LCU screening forms. The University will regularise all admissions with J AM B.

Opportunity for Additional Qualifications

It is mandatory for all undergraduate students of Lead City University to register with and pass the examinations of at least one Professional body during the course of their studentship in the University. It is believed that the additional Professional qualifications shall enhance students' chances for job competition or self employment. Free tuition is provided for these professional programmes.

 

Character, Conduct and Service

At Lead City University, students at all levels are expected to exhibit satisfactory moral conduct and exemplary behaviour, service to the community, sporting/exta-curricular activities and satisfactory dressing.

 

III. Management Development Programme (MDP) Duration: 8 weeks

Objective: These are skill enhancing short courses for those wishing to acquire Professional Competence to enhance job opportunities or self-employment. Graduates can also seize the opportunity to re-skill and be competitive.
