PROFILE QUESTIONS

Q1: Why did you choose to study at LCU?

Funny enough... I didn't; but I don't regret it. My Dad recommended LCU and I was like, okay!! Case closed!

Q2: What is your favourite memory of LCU; a class, a lecturer, an activity or an experience?

It has got to be the SRC elections of 2015/2016. The turnout was massive, the support was mind-blowing; we made history and demonstrated how college politics should be played! (rumour has it that the university management was greatly impressed by what we achieved).

Q3: What have you done since graduating from LCU?

I have done a lot of amazing things around Recruitment/Human Capital Consulting and the entire talent acquisition lifecycle.

Q4: What is your current job role? And what does it involve?

I work as a Recruitment Specialist (Non-engineering & US Teams) - I work with the talent management team to scale the people and culture in over 25 countries across Africa, Europe and North America.

Q5: How did your education at LCU help you get to where you are now?

My training at LCU built my communication skills and like they say 'communication is key!’ The skills gained got me where I am today and I know I still have a long way to go. I truly appreciate the support I received from Dr Iyabobola Ajibola, a former lecturer. She was like a second mother to me and she still supports me till today, helping me make informed decisions.

Q6: What advice would you give to prospective students of LCU?

LCU is a great institution to study in. However, you have to be mature and focused to thrive; you need to know what you want and go for it. You need to be intentional about succeeding and LCU will help you achieve your dreams. You need to know what you want before coming onboard.

Q7: What advice would you give to LCU’s current students?

Be yourself, be intentional and research everything - don't let any course, any lecturer or any of your peers determine your life or what you do with it. Do what makes you happy and work will never feel like 'work'. Identify the most important aspects of your course, and focus on them, but do not neglect other aspects. Do your best at everything and remember to HAVE FUN!!!

Q8: Mention one or two of your proudest professional or personal accomplishments since graduating from LCU.

I have grown a lot in my career. I have also successfully completed my MBA.

Q9: If you had it to do all over again, would you still choose LCU?

Yes, most definitely!

Q10: If the opportunity presents itself, will you be happy to support the University or other LCU Alumni?

Yes, most definitely!
