Scope of the Journal

The International Journal of Contemporary Research in Humanities (INJOCORH) welcomes original research articles, critical reviews, and theoretical papers from diverse disciplines within the humanities and other related themes.

Call for Papers

The journal is calling for papers to be published in the next issue of the journal. Manuscriptsshould be original and not previously published or currently under review elsewhere.Submissions should be written in English and follow the International Journal ofContemporary Research in Humanities formatting guidelines below.

Structure of the Manuscript

  • Title page: Title of the paper, name of author(s), affiliation(s), email address, phone number, ORCID ID (if known), abstract (of around 200 words), and five (5) keywords maximum.
  • Introduction: Background to the study, Research Statement, Objective(s). outline of the paper.
  • Literature Review: All reviews (conceptual, theoretical, empirical, and methodological) are to be presented in paragraphs and not subtitled.
  • Methods: this includes a brief discussion on the research approaches, method of data collection, and analysis of data presented.
  • Results: presentation and interpretation of results from the discussions on the findings presented.
  • Conclusion: this may include possible recommendations or suggestions for further studies or policy making.

Formatting Guidelines

  • The main text (introduction to references): words including all elements, abstract, references, etc. should not be more than 12 pages.
  • Any article more than 12 pages attracts N500 per page.
  • Charts and Figures should be created electronically, if not charts or figures should be submitted on clean sheets, data used to create figures should be submitted with each figure; Tables should be typed and placed at the end of the paper.
  • Formatting: Times New Roman, 12 font size, 1.5 line spacing, and Justified
  • Plagiarism or similarity index should be less than 10%
  • All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process by different experts in the field.

  • Contributors are encouraged to use gender-neutral international language wherever possible.
  • All abbreviations and acronyms should be spelt out in full the first time they are used in the article
  • Author(s) is (are) to mention any conflict of interest and acknowledgment of funding.
  • The author or lead author of an article is entitled to two copies (e-and-hard copies) of the journal the article appears.
  • Authors of accepted papers shall pay a processing fee of N5,000 (assessing fee) and N25,000 ($40) for publishing accepted paper. Information about where to pay to should be sought from the Editors
