Dr. Olamide Oluwayinka Adeyemo is a seasoned higher education administrator, researcher, and academic with extensive experience in postgraduate administration, admissions management, research development, and university teaching. She currently serves as the Principal Assistant Registrar (Postgraduate) and Secretary of the Postgraduate College at Lead City University, where she provides strategic leadership and administrative coordination for postgraduate academic operations.
Dr. Adeyemo holds a Ph.D. in Mass Communication and Media Technology from Lead City University. Her doctoral research examined the influence of demographic characteristics on listening habits, perception, and participation in radio educational programmes among market women in Ibadan, Oyo State. She also holds a Master’s degree in Educational Management and a Bachelor of Education (Second Class Upper Division) in Educational Management/English Language.
With over a decade of progressive administrative experience within the university system, Dr. Adeyemo has served in various capacities including Senior Assistant Registrar (Admissions), Assistant Registrar, and Administrative Officer. Her expertise spans postgraduate administration, academic governance, admissions systems management, institutional compliance, student records management, and policy implementation.
As Secretary of the Postgraduate College, she coordinates postgraduate academic activities, supports academic boards and committees, ensures compliance with institutional and regulatory standards, and facilitates efficient service delivery to postgraduate students and faculty. She also plays a critical liaison role between management, deans, postgraduate coordinators, and other stakeholders to enhance institutional effectiveness.
Dr. Adeyemo is actively engaged in research and scholarly development. Her research interests include Educational Broadcasting, Communication for Development, Media Digitalization, Monitoring and Evaluation Research, Digital Agricultural Extension, Youth-led Agripreneurship, and Environmental Impact Studies. She has published in reputable journals and contributed book chapters in the fields of communication and media studies.
In addition to her administrative leadership, she serves as a peer reviewer for academic journals and contributes to research development initiatives within and beyond the university.
