Our alumnus of the month is Aderemi Khadijat, a Customer Support Professional with MTN, Nigeria. She graduated with a degree in Computer Science and Economics in 2011. Since leaving Lead City University, Khadijat has continued to grow and develop her personal skills and abilities and is doing great in her chosen career with MTN, Nigeria. Personal Career Statement
As a customer service professional, I handle several high profile corporate clients. Over the last two years or so, I have retained all my customers, using all kinds of proactive approaches, making sure none of them churned, and inevitably resulting in retaining and increasing the revenue of my organization.
PROFILE QUESTIONS
Q1: Why did you choose to study at LCU?
I chose Lead City University because it is an institution that students can attend without having to worry about cultism, bullying, or any form of oppression or victimisation from fellow students, lecturers or other members of staff.
Q2: What is your favourite memory of LCU; a class, a lecturer, an activity or an experience?
I can remember Mr Adebo (now an Associate Professor) very fondly. He was one of my lecturers and I really enjoyed his classes.
Q3: What have you done since graduating from LCU?
I am constantly in the process of making a better version of myself.
Q4: What is your current job role? And what does it involve?
I am a Customer Support Professional. My job involves ensuring that customers have a great experience with my company and that their issues are resolved as speedily as possible. I handle the accounts of diverse corporate clients which requires superlative diligence and great attention to detail.
Q5: How did your education at LCU help you get to where you are now?
The teaching and training I received at Lead City University truly shaped my personality and prepared me for this position.
Q6: What advice would you give to prospective students of LCU?
My advice to students who are looking for a high-quality university education is to join this prestigious institution, it’s worth every Naira that you/your parents spend.
Q7: What advice would you give to LCU’s current students?
Students enrolled in Lead City University should keep their heads up and work hard to achieve their dreams.
Q8: Mention one or two of your proudest professional or personal accomplishments since graduating from LCU.
Working with MTN, the number one Telecoms company in Africa is a pretty big achievement. Being assigned the account of my Alma Mater is also a proud achievement, which I do not take lightly at all.
Q9: If you had it to do all over again, would you still choose LCU?
Yes, I would.
